How easy is it to Download Audio Books to an IPod?
IPods are very
popular amongst young people who like to download the music of
their favourite group so they can listen to it at any time. An I
Pod is so small it can fit in someone's pocket yet it can store
hundreds of tunes which can be played back later. Not only can
an I Pod be used to listen to music it can also be used for
listening to stories. It is so easy to download Audio Books to
an IPod and have access to a story at any time of the day.
This is
particularly useful for people who do a lot of travelling as
listening to a story helps relieve the boredom. Audio Books are
great for anyone wanting to learn a different language as
listening to someone speak the translated word is a better way
than just reading it. An Audio Book can be listened to through
an I Pod whilst out walking, sitting on the bus, waiting in the
Doctors, mowing the lawn or doing the washing up. Although most
people know that Audio Books can be downloaded to an I Pod not
many people realise how easy it is to do. The only things you
need to download an Audio Book to an I Pod are a connector
cable, ITunes software and an audio book.
First of all you need to insert the audio book disc into the
computer disk drive and open ITunes. The disc will then show up
in ITunes window and automatically start copying. If nothing
happens click and drag the CD's icon to your ITunes window.
If this fails
click the "Import" button on the ITunes window which is in the
lower right corner. Repeat this sequence for any other CDs in
the audio book until the whole book has been downloaded. Label
all of your new files in the correct order otherwise they will
play out of sequence. The next step is to click "New Playlist"
which is in the Files menu and place all the audio book's files
into a single playlist. Check the boxes next to each audio book
file and make sure that they are in the correct order. Finally
connect the IPod to the computer using the connecting cable and
click the IPod symbol in the ITunes windows. Press the "Sync"
button which is in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
When ITunes says the Sync has finished disconnect the IPod and
check that the audio book is on the hard drive. The transfer is
now completed and you will be able to listen to your stories
whenever you wish.
Downloading Audio Books on to an IPod has become very popular as
it enables people to listen to a story anytime they want. Audio
Books are a great way to relieve the boredom when doing hum drum
jobs or travelling to work and back. Learning a new skill can
also be made easier this way particularly for anyone learning a
new language.
