Bruce McCall has been a contributor of art and humor to The New Yorker since 1979. His books include The Last DreamORama; the memoir Thin Ice: Coming of Age in Canada, which was adapted for the documentary film Thin Ice; Zany Afternoons; and, most recently, All Meat Looks Like South America: The World of Bruce McCall, much of which first appeared in The New Yorker. His piece "Liberal Radio Network Employment Application" appeared in the March 29, 2004, issue of the magazine. He has just completed a mural for Delta Airlines, at 35th Street and Eighth Avenue, in Manhattan, which is the largest outdoor painting in America.
