This book is the same high standard that I have come to expect from Laurell K.Hamilton, with the suspense keeping you jumping out of your chair and the sensuality making you slide right off again, you can even expect a laugh. Rey Colette's believable narration makes listening all the more realistic, I found it very hard not to listen to the whole book all at once. I recommend this book very highly especially in audio form, if you are a first timer to the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series you may need to read at least the first couple of her earlier books to understand how Anita aquired her talents and with whom she shares her life and how she became a Vampire Hunter. PS Once you read one you will not be able to stop reading the whole series.
